On Wednesday morning, we probably won’t know who the next President of the United States is going to be. We will be in a liminal space, and many of us may feel…antsy. But we’ll still be a community, and our neighbors will still be our neighbors. While we can’t all promise to be delighted with the eventual outcomes of the election, we can definitely commit to moving forward together with civility and compassion.
To get off on the right foot, Texas Impact is offering a morning of “Post-Election Sanctuary”—a time for reflection and re-grounding in our shared values of love and justice. Through prayer, reflection, inspirational readings, poems, etc., we will come together to center our hearts and minds in peace. We gather as people of diverse faith communities to express our unity and nonpartisan support of participation in the democratic process.
