The Intersection of CVI and Public Education

Sean Oliver is the Executive Director of ATXPeace, a community violence intervention (CVI) organization created through the partnership of the Austin Office of Violence Prevention and nonprofit Life Anew Restorative Justice. Sean’s work focuses on increasing social awareness, reducing violence, and creating a safe and secure environment for the community in Austin, Texas. ATXPeace’s work permeates throughout the CVI ecosystem, not only on the street but also within public schools. ATXPeace recently partnered with Austin Independent School District to create a School Ambassador program dedicated to school safety and student wellbeing.
