Race and Gender
Discrimination on the basis of race or gender has plagued our country and our state since their founding. Faith communities often have been in the forefront of the fight against discrimination. Unfortunately, they also have often been perpetrators of discrimination, including against members of their own faiths. As our faith traditions continue to pursue their own growth and transformation, mainstream Texas faith communities agree that discrimination on the basis of race and gender don’t belong in our state.
