Marching Order Mondays: Your Weekly Call to Action

Ready for your advocacy marching orders? Our popular Monday Zoom is back. Each week of the legislative session, we give Texans of faith an up-to-the-minute briefing on the legislative state-of-play, answer your questions, and hand out homework assignments on priority bills. Executive Director Bee Moorhead and Director of Public Witness Scott Atnip record a 20 minute segment discussing Texas Impact’s weekly Action Alert Mondays at noon followed by Q&A with members of Texas Impact’s Rapid Response Team for the balance of the hour.

This weekly time to connect with Texas Impact staff and other members is always a popular opportunity, and invariably results in higher quality and more accountable advocacy.

Texas Impact’s Action Alert will be posted by noon every Monday highlighting bills important to the Texas faith community and relevant to Texas Impact’s legislative agenda. The Action Alert includes bill numbers with descriptions, sample scripts and toll free numbers for representatives. Rapid Response emails are sent in-between Action Alerts to notify members of updated calls to action.

The Action Alert and Marching Order Mondays equip Texans of faith with the resources they need to be effective advocates.

To sign up to receive the weekly action alerts and a link to participate in Marching Order Mondays, sign up for the Texas Impact Rapid Response team and consider joining one of Texas Impact’s issue teams to get involved and connect with Texans of faith who care about the issues you care about.

The Texas Impact team is excited to connect with you and your congregations this legislative session and look forward to resourcing your advocacy work!

Note if You Forward our Emails: Last session, some members forwarded our Rapid Response email to friends or other lists, and then got unsubscribed because the person they forwarded it to clicked “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email. Note that if you forward it and your friend unsubscribes, it unsubscribes you. One possible workaround would be to delete that option if you are forwarding this to friends or other groups (with their permission, of course). We don’t want you to miss any content!

If you love getting Texas Impact’s content, but are not wanting to receive the Rapid Response emails anymore, let me know and I can adjust your settings.

Thanks for your willingness to advocate for justice this legislative session. On  behalf of the Texas Impact, team, we look forward to resourcing your advocacy this session!
