Immigration issues are often, erroneously, thought of as a “border problem”. The root causes for people forced to migrate are many and often involve life or death situations. Immigration court backlogs, along with DACA recipients, and 11 million undocumented people in limbo in the United States, are all some examples of how immigration solutions must address all of these barriers. Texas Impact recently held a webinar with congressional staff on the comprehensive bi-partisan DIGNIDAD/Dignity Act proposed by Congresswomen Maria Salazar (R-FL) and Veronica Escobar (D-TX). Texas Impact will coordinate meetings with your congressional representatives.
