It was heartening to participate in the Texas Election Protection Coalition team call this week where we heard about all the work going on to protect election integrity through the state. Texas Impact is a member of this coalition which consists of more than 300 local, state, and national partners. Election Protection uses a wide range of tools and activities to ensure that all voters have an equal opportunity to vote and have that vote count.
Volunteers and nonprofit staff members work throughout the election cycle to provide voter information, document problems they encounter when voting, and work with partners and volunteers on the ground to identify and remove barriers to voting. EP focuses on the voter – not on political races – and provides guidance, information and help to any American, regardless of their voting choices.
