Catholic Diocese of El Paso

The Catholic Diocese in El Paso works in collaboration with the Diocese in Cd. Juarez, MX to transfer US donations to shelters in the Mexican side. Both sides of the border need donations (both monetary and in-kind); however, bringing items from the US into Mexico can pose some transportation challenges for orgs as well as issues with Mexican Customs. So the easier thing to do has been (in our El Paso context) to manage US donations (monetary)  to Mexico through this Diocesan fund, and they coordinate with a coalition in Juarez so that different shelters can get what they need be it clothes, or heating equipment.

Cruzando Fronteras

The Cruzando Fronteras ecumenical ministry of Episcopal, Lutheran, and UCC leaders is connected with Casa De La Misericordia y Todas las Naciones, a respite shelter for migrants in Nogales, Sonora. Cruzando Fronteras can be supported here: https://www.faithstreet.com/.../the-episcopal…/giving…

Texas Impact’s Immigration Education & Advocacy Manager, Fabiola Olvera Benitez, gives an update about conditions migrants are facing right now along the Texas-Mexico border as Title 42 remains in place and freezing temperatures approach.

Texas Impact has partnered with Team Brownsville to provide a list of crucial items needed on the border. Please consider giving a donation that goes directly to those who are most vulnerable during this holiday season.
