This week, the Texas Impact staff held a 2-day retreat at our office in Austin. With remote staff located in Houston, Huntsville, and the Rio Grande Valley, we have to be extra-intentional about keeping connected, and it was a treat to get to spend concentrated with our talented, committed group of advocates. It was an opportunity to get our new staff members up to speed on “all things faith, all things politics, all things Texas,” to quote our Weekly Witness slogan. We did some pre-planning for the 2025 legislative session, and we discussed ways we can improve our communications with our network to make sure our members are getting the information they need to advocate on the issues they care about.
At the beginning of the year, we asked you to tell us how you were feeling going into the election year, and how we could support your work—your comments and insights were so valuable, and have informed a lot of our work over the past few months.
