Canvassing the Vote and Certifying the Results

In Texas, canvassing the vote is the name given to the official examination of the votes cast in the election. In each county in this election, the Commissioners Court—made up of 4 county commissioners and the county judge—will be responsible for tabulating the vote.
The first possible day a county can canvass votes in the November 2020 election will be Friday, November 6.
The last possible day a county can canvass votes in the November 2020 election will be Tuesday, November 17.
