Texas Impact Board Issues 2019 Legislative Agenda

Texas Impact’s board of directors has released our legislative agenda for 2019.

Texas Impact’s 2019 Legislative Priorities and Principles

The new agenda was developed in an intensive 2-day retreat, where board members met in small and large groups and caucused denominationally.

As in prior years, the board also considered the results of our member survey, where respondents’ top 10 issues were:

1. Education
2. Health/Mental Health
3. Immigration/Refugees/Asylum Seekers
4. Child Welfare
5. Hunger/Poverty
6. Climate Change
7. Anti-Discrimination
8. Voting Rights
9. Criminal Justice
10. Human Trafficking

The board approved all items on the legislative agenda unanimously–a requirement for all Texas Impact’s issues.
