Thursday, two House Committees met to hear bills, and the Texas Impact team stayed up late to testify and cover the hearings. This morning, the House Select Committee on Educational Opportunity and Enrichment met to approve HB 1, the voucher bill and two of the Senate bills concerning border security and funding for a border wall were rushed out of House committees.
Texas Impact’s Executive Director and Advocacy Director, Bee Moorhead and Josh Houston, are here to help us center ourselves in these– not unprecedented but unique times.
