  • In this section of Paul’s second letter to the church in Thessalonia, Paul admonishes the church for reaping food that they themselves have not worked to earn. Paul seems worried about those disenfranchised being taken advantage of by those who would follow in the way of Christ. When we look at the issue of climate change, who are the vulnerable and disenfranchised? How do they get impacted or taken advantage of by current processes?
  • How might we be called to put in work in order to reverse the current course of climate change?
  • Paul ends this section of the letter by saying “Bit if anyone does not obey our message through this letter, take note of him and do not associate closely with him, so that he may be ashamed. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.” Verse 14-15. How can this guide us when dealing with people, organizations, or countries who we do not think are doing their part?
