Dear {name},
This week, Texas Impact staff are taking our customary year-end break—we’re celebrating with family and friends, and recharging for the exciting year ahead. But we couldn’t let 2024 come to a close without a check-in with our network.
We know our members are ready for action and advocacy, and that’s a good thing: we’re facing policy challenges at every level of government starting as soon as the calendar page turns over. If you’re already participating in a Texas Impact issue team, or planning to attend an event, or collecting signatures on postcards, thank you! You can find information about all the ways to get involved on our website. We need your voice and your valor!
A special thanks if you’ve made a financial contribution to Texas Impact this year. We’re grateful for your support. It’s encouraging to see our donor base growing!
If you appreciate Texas Impact's work but haven't gotten around to donating yet, now would be a great time to start! Your financial support is especially important as we go into what promises to be a complex legislative session. Regular donations from our members help us meet the moment, whether it’s generating constituent input with lawmakers; organizing committee testimony; or providing up-to-the-minute updates on key bills.
One of my favorite poems is Tennyson’s Ring Out, Wild Bells. Written 175 years ago, it articulates hopes we share today:
Ring out false pride in place and blood,
The civic slander and the spite;
Ring in the love of truth and right,
Ring in the common love of good.
As you ring out 2024, I hope your spirits are bright. We can’t wait to work alongside you in the new year to ring in justice and peace.
Love, |
