Dear {name},
This week, Texas Impact joined with a host of partner organizations to co-host Gun Violence Prevention Advocacy Day. The event featured a special Vidas Robadas (Stolen Lives) installation, with more than 1,000 t-shirts representing Texans who have died from gun homicide or suicide in the past five years. About 4,000 Texans die from gun violence every year. The t-shirt display included shirts from displays across the state over the past year.

Next up on Texas Impact’s Capitol events calendar is Family Matters: Faith Days at the Capitol, coming up March 16-18. Rally on the South Steps, get updates on your issues, and talk with legislators about your priorities—plus, build your faith community’s advocacy team and network with like-minded Texans of faith and conscience from across the state. Thanks to a generous donor, we now have a limited number of scholarships available for Faith Days at the Capitol, so if cost is a barrier please email Kat@texasimpact.org for more information.

It’s just the latest in the growing mountain of evidence that Texas’ extreme abortion ban is hurting and killing pregnant women. |
