Mary joined Texas Impact’s team in January 2021 and is working to expand their reach through digital communications, specifically social media and Youtube. She graduated from New York University in 2020 with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and cinema studies, and has previously interned for production departments in local Houston radio and HBO Sports. She loves Jane Austen and is a strong advocate for equality in women’s sports.
Long Bio
Mary started working with Texas Impact in January 2021 as a Digital Communications Fellow. She works with the organizations’s social media and Youtube to encourage more people to join Texas Impact’s mission. She uses the technical skills she has gained through school and work to produce media with the goal of reaching an even larger demographic.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University in the spring of 2020 with a B.A. in broadcast journalism and cinema studies. While at NYU she was a 4 year member of the varsity softball team, and helped run the team’s social media accounts. Over those four years she held production internships ranging from local Houston radio to HBO Sports, and developed a passion for working professionally with people of faith while working for Junior High United Methodist Mission Project (JUMMP).
Mary loves Jane Austen and is a strong advocate for equality in women’s sports. She believes the best tool anyone can have when pursuing justice is empathy.
