Last Call for UWF Legislative Event
If you are not already registered for United Women in Faith Texas Legislative Event, be advised: We anticipate we will have to cut off in-person registration in the next couple of days as we are hitting absolute max capacity. We are thrilled with this year’s turnout! As a reminder, you can also attend Legislative Event on Zoom if you can’t attend in person, but you can only make legislative visits if you are in Austin.
If you are hoping to attend Legislative Event in person but need financial assistance, help is available. Financial aid is not just for young adults—reach out to Legislative Event registrar Terry Schoenert for more information.
This year’s Legislative Event will feature intense content and hands-on engagement, reflecting the current kinetic/chaotic state of public policy in our state and nation. In addition to a stellar line-up of speakers, we’ll be rolling out a suite of new resources for local congregations and groups. We also are featuring opportunities to hear directly from Texas Impact issue team members about how and why they practice advocacy—and how you can get involved.
And of course, we’ll be talking about all aspects of elections, including how to mobilize your community to vote in the crucial March primaries.
