Throughout the week, Reproductive Policy team members have been leading screenings of Zurawski v. Texas as part of the National Council of Jewish Women’s Repro Shabbat. Repro Shabbat takes place annually on Parashat Mishpatim, which contains the verses commonly referenced as the foundation of Judaism’s approach to reproductive health, rights, and justice.

This week also featured the first hearings for the House Appropriations Committee. The hearings were very informative—required content for folks who plan to advocate on school finance, health and human services, and other key issues—but also dense and sometimes hard to follow.
So we decided to take LegeTV to the next level.
Beginning with Comptroller Hegar’s presentation of the Biennial Revenue Estimate to the committee, we’re producing “LegeTV Unpacked.” In our Unpacked videos, we provide framing and context for the legislative clip, as well as inserting the speaker’s presentation materials into the video so you can see the same information the committee is looking at. |
