This week, Texas Impact staff took time off to spend Thanksgiving with friends and family…but we kept one eye on the clock. As of Tuesday, December 3, we’ll be just six weeks out from the start of the 89th Texas Legislature, which gavels in on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
December 3 is Giving Tuesday, which is the start of Texas Impact’s annual membership drive—and it’s going to be especially important next year. It’s clear there are significant challenges coming in the legislative session, as well as important opportunities to strengthen the ways we keep Texas kids healthy; keep families thriving during tough times; and keep the lights on all over our state.
