Dear {name},
This week, the global climate negotiations continue in Azerbaijan. Through our media partnership with the Austin Chronicle, Texas Impact is sharing video dispatches from COP featuring colleagues from US faith communities and front-line communities. In this week’s episode of Weekly Witness, Scott talks with Becca about the progress of the talks. Becca's written several blog posts on COP topics, including this one on what she describes as "one of my favorite topics, hazards and resilience." And closer to home, Texas Impact climate champion Mel Caraway writes about Texas’ methane hearings, and how new technology will help companies and countries reduce emissions faster.
This week we’re rolling out another episode of Faith in Democracy, our new YouTube series on civics and civic engagement. We’ve also got new information and toolkits to help you take action on the Texas abortion ban, including the registration form for hosting a screening of Zurawski v Texas.
We’re able to share all these resources and programming—and more—because of the financial support of our members. Your generosity allows us to mobilize Texans of faith across the state. We are bottomlessly grateful.
December 3 is Giving Tuesday. We know you’ll have many requests for donations, and we hope Texas Impact is a priority for you. Giving Tuesday marks the start of our annual membership drive. If you’re already a Texas Impact member, thank you and we hope you renew for 2025! If you haven’t supported us financially in the past, we hope you’ll consider making a donation.
As always, thanks for being part of the Texas Impact network, and thanks for everything you do for Texas!
Love, |
