Two years after its passage, the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) is still providing benefits throughout Texas, but legislators have moved on.

The Legislature should re-engage ARRA and take every remaining opportunity to maximize Texas’ strategic use of ARRA dollars. Lawmakers also should act on several opportunities for improvement in legislative accountability and transparency that ARRA implementation brought to light.
